Jim Millett has been making photographs since the 1960's and has exhibited his photography extensively in galleries in Northern California and on the East Coast. He has also shown in one-person and group shows in England, France, and Japan, and is the recipient of numerous awards in photo competitions. His teachers and mentors include Jerry Uelsmann, Ruth Bernhard, Wynn Bullock, and Clarence Rainwater. Jim has recently retired from 44 years of teaching photography -- the past 14 years at Chabot College in Hayward, California. He plans to continue working traditionally -- in the darkroom with silver-based materials.
